A Hardcore Program for Hardcore Malware

by DJ on September 11, 2009

One of the biggest risks about surfing online is the potential of being hit with a virus.  I have helped numerous unknown users on Yahoo Answers remover viruses and other malware from their computer.  There have been times when regular antivirus and antimalware programs would not install in regular and safe mode when using some of the tricks I know to bypass this.  After all else has failed it is time to bring out the big gun.  This big gun is called Combofix.  Combofix is little program that packs a huge punch.

Before I move on, I should emphasize that it can be hard to get this program to download or run because of the malware.  There are a few tricks I know to bypass this but that info is for a later article.  After using this little gem, it lays waste to most if not all the malware on a system.  If there is any malware left of the system it could be easily removed with the standard antivirus and antimalware programs.

When you go to download this program from sites like Bleepingcomputer they put up a warning to use this program with the supervision of one of their helpers.  Now this is great if you want to register for the forum and wait for someone to answer you post.  At times, it takes one of their helpers a while to get to your problem because they are off helping others.  I know people hate waiting especially when the malware is hindering them from using their computer, I would feel the same way.  Bleepingcomputer cautions users that Combofix might lead to other problems if used unsupervised.  Yes, this may be the case but I have never run into any problems after using Combofix.

If you have a serious infestation of malware and everything else has failed, try using Combofix.  As I have stated, Combofix will destroy some of the most vicious malware out there.  If the warning scares you a little sign up to Bleepingcomputer, they have a great forum that helps users get rid of malware.  If you have any questions or would like me to help you out, feel free to send me an email and we will see what I can do for you.

I tried to use combofix before but couldn’t get it installed because of virus. I had to take to pc shop to get it fixed. Virus was redirecting me to phony sites.

Sometimes viruses block the installation of antivirus and antimalware programs. If you run into this problem in the future shoot me an email and I will help you out.
