According to sources, Apple is testing three different iPhone models, but has not selected the final design for the new phone. Apple is rumored to ditch the 3.5 mm headphone jack. The new iPhone is expected to be unveiled in Fall 2016.

According to sources, Apple is testing three different iPhone models, and the Cupertino - based company is believed to remove the 3.5 mm headphone jack. Besides, Apple is also testing a back up design that is similar to what we have already seen on the current iPhone 6s.

However, one of the biggest change of the iPhone 7 may be new wireless Beats earphones that are expected to launch alongside with the new phone. The new earphones support Bluetooth connectivity and will be sold separately.

Wireless earphones are likely to be a new trend to the current technology world. Some smaller companies like Bragi and Skybuds are working on this new technology. However, Apple will have to make sure that "a Bluetooth radio signal cannot travel through a person's body from one earbud to the next".

However, Apple is expected to perfect this new technology thanks to the company's huge resources. Accordingly, Apple has spent over 8 billion USD on developing new wireless earphones.
