Meizu today unveiled a new low - cost smartphone M3 Note in China. The device features a stunning design and good specs. The new device will target some emerging markets this year.

The Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu today announced its new affordable device called Meizu M3 Note. The device might be one of the cheapest phones in the market with a price tag of 150 USD.

The new device sports a 6000 Series Aluminum body found on the Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and the recently introduced iPhone SE. Besides, the new device looks quite similar to other handsets by the company, such as the Meizu Pro 5. The new device combines elegance and functionality, similar to what we have already seen on the iPhone 6s. The new device will compete directly with Redmi Note 3 in China.

Meizu M3 Note sports a 5.5 inch Full HD display. Under the hood, the device is powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core chipset, and the device accepts two SIM cards or a single SIM card and a microSD card. The global version of M3 Note will be fueled by a Qualcomm or Samsung chipset.

Other specs include 3GB of RAM, 32GB of eMMC 5.1 flash memory. The 16GB model will have 2GB of RAM. Both are powered by a large 4100mAh battery. Meizu M3 Note features a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front- facing camera. The device also has a fingerprint sensor, embedded into the physical home button.

Meizu has been struggling to compete with many local smartphone makers including Xiaomi and Huawei. Meizu is planning to bring more devices to the US this year in an attempt to boost the smartphone sales.
