Samsung plans to launch a new Galaxy C series
Samsung has released a solid number of devices this year. Earlier this year, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer announced its highly-anticipated Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, followed by the Galaxy A (2016) and the Galaxy J(2016). According to sources, Samsung is planning to launch new devices under its brand new Galaxy C Series.
According to PhoneDog, Samsung has sent out invites to a launch event in China. Tech experts say that the new Galaxy C series will be announced at the event, and the new Galaxy C devices will target mostly the mid-range smartphone segment this year.
Rumors say that the new Galaxy C will come with a premium look and good specs. Specifically, the new device will feature a 5.2 inch Full HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 Octa Core SoC, 4GB of RAM, a 2.800 mAh battery, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Besides, Samsung will launch a new Galaxy S7 at the event with a larger 5.7-inch display and a 3.300mAh battery.
Samsung has been facing huge competition from Chinese smartphone manufacturers including Huawei, Meizu and Xiaomi. Samsung is believed to focus more on budget smartphones this year in an attempt to attack emerging markets.
