Pre-ordered this bundle back in September, was worried at first about the release date shipping. This is my first release date purchase through Amazon. Received it at 10 am on release date…awesome. Now that we have that out of the way. This bundle is a great deal for first time Xbox users/purchasers. Comes with 2 controllers, this is great for a family purchase….no more children fighting over taking turns until you get to the store to purchase another controller. The 250 GB harddrive is great. I currently own 2 other 360′s(one is mine, the other purchased for my wife) both 20gb. With all of the music, movies, and DLC I have had to constantly delete stuff that I have paid for just to make room for new games. This led me to purchase the 250GB harddrive, after transferring everything over I still have TONS of room to install all of my most played games. (For those of you new to 360′s…this helps the games run smoother with less load times and it keeps the noise level down on the system). If you are a fan of the COD franchise or even new this 360 is great! The black 360 with the custom MW2 theme looks great. I have always thought about painting my other 360 black to make it look better in my entertainment center…black 58″ tv, black surround sound system, black cable box, black modem, and lastly a black PS3. A White xbox stands out quite a bit amongst all of this equipment. I would highly recommend this purchase to people just starting out with the new gaming system or even hardcore 360 players who are just looking to expand the experience. I know this review is getting extensive but im just trying to cover everything….now on to the MW2 game. SIMPLY AMAZING! Looks great, sounds great, plays great. I have been into the COD franchise for quite a while, have been religiously playing COD 4 MW for over 2 years now and can see myself playing this one for another 2 as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME! Thanks for reading the review and happy gaming! -J.Fox

The value for everything included in this package is amazing. I am not a fan of special artwork on consoles but this was moderately done and looks good and not flashy. The 250GB hard-drive is awesome for media and DLC. For anyone new to Xbox 360, it is an amazing deal; to current Xbox 360 users, it probably isn’t worth buying unless you just need more hard-drive space, another controller, and want the game and can sell yours for a good price. Overall, amazing deal, functions great, I think Modern Warfare 2 is a very fun game, I can understand the mixed reviews people give it, but I like it. Even if you don’t want Modern Warfare 2, this is the best Xbox 360 to buy.

Well I must be a little more computer literate then your average joe but i just dont get burned by Microsoft like other people do. Granted they are a little buggy sometimes with there stuff but overall i think there products are cutting edge and geared to make consumers lives easier more productive as well as enjoyable and with less hassle. They are constantly working on there products to improve them month after month and year after year not to mention providing updates to there consumers all the time. Saying that; this new XBOX rocks. Its load times are great its looks are sharp its graphics are like eye candy its WEIGHT is maybe a pound or two lighter then first ones. Its cool to the touch after playing about 5 hours straight and the most important fact to me its WHISPER QUIET… the 2 controllers are nice, its sucks no transfer cable or hdmi but at the price i really cant blame them. I was one of the fortunate ones to have a problem free 20gb xbox since day one. Now i got this and i just love it. Picked up and extra warranty to for peace of mind for 37 dollars. And i plan on enjoying this system for at least the next 5 more years if i dosent end being part of my collection for life. Overall well worth the money if your interested in buying comes with the newest tech Microsoft has to offer and if may say it was between this and a ps3 never owned a ps3 and wanted one but as soon as i saw this i new it was going to be a very special XBOX and it is. I will get a ps3 one day but not for a very long time………..Amazon is the best place to get this, and thank-you Microsoft for giving us yet another toy that is for a lack of words awesome in a time that everyone could use a litte happiness.

Hello to all, first i would like to say that i am a 30 year old gamer playing since the atari days and secondly this is my first review. When you look at the price tag thats a lot of money for a game system but you have to take a look at what you are getting. You are getting a jasper Xbox which will run you $299 that comes with a 120 GB hard drive, one controller, and i think a headset (not real sure about the head set). For an extra $100 this bundle will get you a 250 GB hard drive, an extra controller, and a copy of Modern Warfare 2. I’m thinking how M$ prices its accessories that the 250 GB hard drive alone will run you over $150 or more. So in conclusion I think for the extra $100 you get a great deal

Ok, short story about what happened to me…. Saturday, before MW2 came out, my Falcon Elite displayed an E74 error message. My falcon had been “repaired” before due to RROD. So as you all can understand, I was pretty pissed off. Anyway, since amazon claimed this bundle was the “newest” version (newest chip), I decided to take the plunge and get it. My Falcon will be back from Microsoft next week and I plan to sell it, now that I have the MW2 console.

Anyway, so far, this bundle is the “newest version” and a must buy IMO, why? it comes with TWO controllers, a 250G HD and Modern Warfare 2. Reviewers have made arguments about the controllers feeling either smaller or cheap..take it from an actual Elite owner…the controllers or console’s obvious built is NOT different than previous Elite versions, someone said something about this console having “too much plastic”,so I guess they were refering to the DVD tray; it is now all black, the regular Elite tray is silver, this of course does not mean it is metal, it is still plastic.

Anyway, you will get the following in this bundle: two black controllers, an ethernet cable, a basic video cable (not a componet one), NO HDMI cable, a black headset, and the 250G HD, MW2 regular edition and that’s pretty much it.

Now, how do I know this is a Jasper console? The power brick is smaller and the voltage is different compared to the Falcon Elites. It does run smoother and the noise from the DVD drive has been taken down a notch.

I should mention though, that so far, I have been forced to use my Falcon Elite’ 120G HD, because Microsoft’s customer support claims they are out of the “data transfer kits”, that I MUST WARN YOU, now cost $12 and you can only buy it from MS. Quick tip: Microsoft’s CS hours are US Eastern time, so, if you call in early, they will have the transfer kits, if you call too late, near their closing time (1:00am US easterm time), they’ll claim to be out of kits, trust me, I called them at least 4 times.

Now, about the over all look of the console, honestly, it does look good, but $400 good?? not really. The only reason for anybody to buy this console is the HD storage room, plus the fact that if you do the “math”, the bundle is a pretty good deal, because a normal Elite will cost you $300, that’s with only one controller and no game. Anyway, if you have a 120G Elite with plentyof HD space; this bundle is a matter of wanting to upgrade to a bigger HD, having a broken/malfunctioning Elite like mine or simply having the cash to spend.

    Hope this helps.

I could list pros and cons but why? There are only pros to buying this setup. So on to the pros:

Modified Xbox 360 Elite color scheme that fits in well with other components of a home theater system.

    Modern Warfare 2 game.

    250GB hard drive.

    Two black wireless controllers.

Great price for the included goodies. I just wish it came with a HDMI cable, I knew that it didn’t I just wish it had.

As other reviewers have stated, the jewel case for MW2 was fractured badly and I had to replace it with a generic one. That seems odd that this issue has come up repeatedly.

The release of Modern Warfare was highly anticipated, and I pre-ordered my copy months ago. I also caught of glimpse of the Modern Warfare console and thought wow that is really cool looking and actually a great deal. I ordered it and received it Saturday from Amazon.

Console: The console is the black elite (matte) color with a nice gray accent on the top, some small gray graphics and lettering on the face plate, and a large “2″ on the bottom (or left side if your stand yours up). One thing I liked is the removal of the chrome disc tray for a solid black one. The console looks really clean and nice, not overwhelming like the Halo console, or retina burning Resident Evil 5 console.

Accessories: This is what makes the package such a bargain, while it still lacks an HDMI cable, it makes up for with a nice list of other stuff. First the standard copy of CoD:MW2, a black elite wired headset, two black elite wireless controllers, a huge 250gb HDD, and an ethernet cable. On top of your standard issue power “brick” and standard composite audio/video cables.

Extras: The hard drive is initially eaten up by arcade game trials (at least 15), game videos, and some older themes and gamer pictures. After deleting everything, and transferring my saves, content, and gamer profile I’m sitting at a comfortable 227gb. My only issue with the console package was it didn’t include any Modern Warfare 2 glitz and glitter on the inside. I purchased the MW2 premium theme, which looks very cool, however I felt it could have been included with the package. Not a deal breaker by any means but its the small things ha ha.

After opening this up (even the box looks awesome) I must say I’m 99.99% thrilled to have this package, with the .01% being the lack of a theme or some other sort of MW2 items, again I’m just being picky. If you don’t own a 360, even if you don’t play shooters or MW2 for that matter, this may still be your best package deal. I will throw in though once you try the included MW2 game you might just be hooked!

The ONLY negative that I have to say about this is that it didn’t come with a data transfer kit to move data from your old 360 to your new one. You have to purchase the new one by calling XBOX360 customer support (or going on line) and its a $12 charge. BUT they were all out and didn’t know when they were getting more in. So I painstakingly re-downloaded all my content after transferring my license. It took 3 days, but the beauty of it, I was able to do it from the xbox360 site. So everything downloaded fine and this XBOX360 is the bomb. Now with he bigger hard-drive, I can download those XBOX original games. Plus you can install the MW2 on the 360 and play it from the hard-drive (you still need the disc to act as a catalyst). The reason you want to do this is that in the long run, it saves the wear and tear on the XBOX because the disc isn’t constantly running.

As far as the game itself, it is difficult on any level which I really like. You will die a lot, one of the coolest thing is to ride the snowmobile. So single play is very very good and multi-play is awesome (even though I get smoked alot). I like the design of the box itself and it seems quieter than my previous system.

399.00 is a great price considering you are getting 2 controllers, the game and 250GB HD, headset and the system. It doesn’t come with a HDMI cable, but you can get one of those cheap nowadays. And the wireless controllers are not the rechargeable kind. So you are going to have to buy an extra battery pack if you don’t already have one. Its good to be consistent and buy the black rechargeable packs.

The XBOX360 as a whole w/XBOX Live is far more enjoyable than the PS3, in my humble opinion. Because if you have netflix, with the 360 you can put movies in your instant cue and watch them immediately, with no disc to insert (unlike the PS3). And they just added last.fm, facebook, twitter and zune.

In the end, if buy a lot of content from the XBOX Live Marketplace, than this is the system you want, the 250GB, if not, you can’t go wrong with 120GB xbox-360.

This is probably the best collectors edition Xbox 360 I have seen so far. My first Xbox 360 died after 3 years so I went out and purhcased this console. It comes with 2 wireless controllers, headset, 250GB Hard Drive, and built in HDMI. The price is perfect because you are saving money when you buy it as a bundle and you get more for what you pay. The biggest dissapointment is no HDMI cable but thanks to http://www.amazon.com you can get a cable for 3$.

I recommend this bundle to anyone shopping for the holiday season because it comes with one of the best online shooter games ever made.

I bascially decided to pick this up for two reasons.

    1. My wife yes my wife was hogging the console for Netflix, movies and the occasional game. She was addicted to Fable 2.

    2. I’ve had the old Pro version for almost 3 years and I was tired of deleting stuff off of my hard drive in order to make room for a new game I just loaded.

    3. This was a great deal.

Consider this a standard elite console is $299.99, a copy of MW2 is 59.99 and an additional controller is 49.99 add those to the price and guess what it’s higher than the cost of this. So look at it this way you basically get the bonus of a 250 Gb hard drive for free.

To be totally honest as cool as the console looks in person it’s not as awesome in person because It doesn’t have as much of a gun metal look as I had hoped but that’s okay because I’m more concerned about the hard ware.

It does run cooler way cooler than my old one and even the DVD drive is quieter. Is it as quiet as my PS3 no but it’s close. A good buy lower power consumption and much more quiet. Just think MS if you had released this product in this format 2 years ago Sony would be toast because all of their advantages have been hardware based and this is the best I’ve seen on the market from Microsoft for hardware. It’s not enough to make a PS3 owner want to switch but It’s a better deal than the PS3 250 gb version that’s out for those out there who can’t decide.
